Safeguarding
Safeguarding is a term used in the United Kingdom and Ireland to denote measures to protect the health, well-being and human rights of individuals, which allow people — especially children, young people and vulnerable adults — to live free from abuse, harm and neglect. It's fundamental to high-quality health and social care. Whether you are looking for Safeguarding Children or Safeguarding Adults, SaFA Training has a course to suit your requirements.
QNUK Level 2 Award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Young People (RQF)
This qualification is intended for anyone working with children or young people. this may be in a paid or voluntary role. The qualification covers all of the elements of shorter "awareness" courses but also includes information on what to do with a disclosure and how to protect yourself from allegations.
- Protecting them from maltreatment or things that are bad for their health or development.
- Making sure they grow up in circumstances that allow safe and effective care.
QNUK Level 2 Award in Safeguarding Adults in Health and Social Care (RQF)
This qualification is intended for those that are working in, or are looking to start work in health and social care. The qualification introduces the key principles associated with safeguarding adults at risk in a health and social care setting.
- Protecting their rights to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect.
- People and organisations working together to prevent the risk of abuse or neglect, and to stop them from happening.
- Making sure people's well-being is promoted, taking their views, wishes, feelings and beliefs into account.
- Protecting the health, well-being and human rights, and enabling them to live free from harm, abuse and neglect.
- Ensure your staff meet the minimum requirements and are fully competent in their role.
These courses can be delivered to groups at your premises.
